Congratulations to Roy Prentice who today marked the completion of 50 years in the patent profession. Roy began as a trainee patent attorney (or “technical assistant” as the role was known at the time) on 8 August 1961. He qualified as a Chartered Patent Agent (as Patent Attorneys were known at the time) in 1969 and set up his own firm in 1974. He ran Prentice and Matthews for 33 years before his firm merged with Brookes Batchellor LLP in 2007.
Having completed his 50 years, Roy will continue to work in our London Office, but in order to ease into retirement he will now only be working one day per week.
Brookes Batchellor LLP would like to thank Roy for his valuable contribution to the merged practice.
